The reference to the O’Hea-Cussen is interesting.  John T Collins of Cork in the 1950s compiled a list of newspaper notices rom a collection held by Mr. Cussen Solicitor, Newcastle West. They had originated with the Kearney family Garretstown House near the home place of the O’Heas.

Two possible reasons present themselves for this.  The first was the possibility of his ancient family lands being restored to him.

The other if  he was of the ‘Wild Geese’ or his children.  It was often the case to  advance in Continental Society a certified Genealogy had to be produced.  The Breffni (Cavan) O’Reillys are an example.

There are reference to the O’Cullanes being related to the Swantons.

Discovery of Lost Vellum Manuscript, documenting the Genealogy of the Very Ancient and Illustrious House of the O’Reillys, formerly Princes and Dynasts of Breifne O’Reilly, now called the County of Cavan in the Kingdom of Ireland, over 1,000 years in Munich 2008, Irish presence in Cuba, 18th century and Irish named street escape Castro embargo on Spanish Street Names Havana and the Nugents (O’Reillys) of Austro-Hungarian Empire, Governor of Trieste.

The original documents re in the Manuscript Part of the National Library in Dublin.
