Antiquities of the Bantry, Muintervara area West Cork including Coomhola, Borlin, Colomane and Kilnarune Stone by Michael Carroll.
The late Michael Carroll produced this maybe 15 years ago. He was a local historian the author of books and articles adn had a bookshop in Bnatry. His family had long been involved in Maritime matters at one stage they ran a fleet of Sand Boats in Bantry Bay.
His text in not always accurate for example he refers to the Mill and large house at the end of Dunmanus Bay as belonging to French Huguenots. This is not so, it belonged dto the Evansons who were Cromwellian, there are other reference to Danish influences which is conjectural.
