Hello! Had a little difficulty reading; the print is a bit blurry, or it may be my ever growing eyes! Thank you for this. I am pretty certain my Whitley/Ducklow/Dukelow ancestors prior to 1840 were in the Methodist church. I recognized many other names also, that are marriages associated with these families, and from Cork, whether in Ontario Canada, or in Rochester, New York area….this includes Roycroft/Raycraft, Kingston, Copithorne, and Wolfe. My Margaret Whitley arrived in Quebec City in 1840, and was married to James Ducklow, my gggrandfather who had arrived about a decade earlier with his father and siblings. It may be Margaret had a brother and father both named Francis, but it’s speculative. I know there is a small boarded up Methodist chapel in the Arderwinney area, found it by just wandering, but know nothing more about it. I believe the date over the door said 1830 but I’m going from memory. Would love to find out where to access the Methodist records for the areas mentioned in this newspaper article, but from much earlier if they exist. Thank you from Canada! April

Too bad it’s so blurry. It looks like it would have been an interesting article.
