Hi
My GrandMother attended this school when she was a girl, during the late 20’s early 30’s. Her name was Kate Coughlan along with her twin Margret Coughlan, i dont believe them to be in this photo, but it is a little hard with the camera flash. Some of my Grandmothers cousins are in the photo of Ballydehob National school form 1926 and 1928. Its lovely to see them! do you know if there are any more photos? or records for Dreenlomane?
Thanks

Hi Finn , I have a copy of the school photograph with your grandmother and her sister Margaret. I think it was taken in 1930.

My father and his brothers and sisters went to this school during the early 1900’s to about 1920’s, He was a Camier, but not closely related to Mr. & Mrs. Camier of Gurtnagrough. The school building is now a private home. I have pictures of it as it stands today and copies of school records for the boys, courtesy of Mrs. Camier. She has a wonderful museum with many more pictures of the school.

Hi Finn, my mother attended this school most likely up to 1931 and was a first cousin to the twins if their father was Dan Coughlan and mother Kate – my mothers father was John Coughlan married to Margaret (nee Sullivan). We think one of the twins was on an advert for Lux flakes? My mother is now 100 years old.

My Grandfather Master Richard `Dick` Lyons was headmaster of Ballydehob NT between 1920 to 1930 I estimate. Is it this school? Can anyone give me any info on this. I would be most grateful. Many thanks. Richard Lyons.
