Thank you for linking to our page about Ardnagashel. We have been tenants of the once marvelous place which is doomed – the heavy storms of last winter destroyed the few remaining beauties. Richard Hutchins, Ellen Hutchins’ great grandnephew who deceased last year with nearly 98 years of age, was our friend. We also met Sonia neé Kaulback who spent her childhood and youth in Ardnagashel as her parents owned the famous hotel. We tried so much to persuade the owners to look after this rare gem of Irish natural history but there is neither will nor money. The house by the sea is for sale now and we will be moving our guesthouse premises to another place next spring.
