O’Brien of Skibbereen.  Member of Irish Republican Brotherhood.  Fought in the Spanish American War.  Presented Irish Tricolour to Commander of German Submarine Deutschland Sank Several Allied Vessels Flying the Tricolour.  1938 Appointed Sheriff of Newport County under Governor Vanderbilt.
