I continue to enjoy your blog, always amazed at the amount and the wide variety of information you find and share. You do a great job. I’ve been interested in the obituaries you’ve posted which are a wealth of information about family relationships and occupations. Can you tell me whether obituaries were commonly published in the Southern Star in the late 1890s and early 1900s? And, were they just of prominent people, or were most people, especially in the Durrus, Schull, and Goleen area, given published obituaries? Thanks very much. P.S.
